Jean Marie Middleton is running for Palm Beach County Court Judge to bring her 38 years of complex civil litigation experience to the bench.
Jean Marie currently serves as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator since 2009.
For the past 24 years, she has also served in a quasi-judicial capacity as a volunteer youth court judge handling criminal misdemeanor matters committed by first time juvenile offenders.
She has tried numerous jury trials, arbitration cases, and hundreds of bench trials.
Jean Marie is the former in-house counsel to two Fortune 500 companies.
Currently, she is an Assistant General Counsel for the Palm Beach County School District, the 7th largest school district in the nation and the former Chief of Litigation for the Miami-Dade County School District, the 4th largest school district in the nation.
During her career, Jean Marie has drafted proposed orders that have been adopted and upheld by state court judges, the 3rd and 4th District Courts of Appeal and the Federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. She has also written two jurisdiction briefs for the Florida Supreme Court.
Jean Marie has been shortlisted and recommended to the Governor for appointment to both the Circuit Court and County Court.
And Jean Marie is the current President-Elect of the Palm Beach County Bar Association which represents thousands of local attorneys.
Jean Marie also has a long, award-winning history of community service.
